Serving poor in current pandemic, Covid 19

Currently, COVID-19 is forcing many of us to stay quarantined at home. The majority of us complain about boredom and not being allowed to go outside, but what about those who are less fortunate than us?  There are many people who have been impacted majorly by COVID-19 however, some groups have gotten the worst of it.

One of these groups is migrant workers. They have recently moved within India to work, so they don’t own much shelter or money. This makes their livelihood especially important and difficult for them. The way they used to cope with the situation was by living on their day to day wages. However, the issue now is that people are quarantined, so they can’t return to their jobs yet.

Due to this, they don’t have enough money to gets their necessities, and they are stuck in a tricky position. Thankfully, KFF noticed this and came forward to help. KFF is donating masks, food, and other essentials in order to help those migrant workers.

This is important because the migrant workers now have those necessities which they were previously struggling for. Going forward, KFF will continue to help those in need.
